First Presbyterian Church Invites you to Become a Member

New Members join through participation in New Memeber Classes or through a letter of transfer. The classes present basic Presbyterian beliefs and opportunities for service at First Presbyterian Church.

Member Groups

Men's Breakfast

The Men's Breakfast group meets the second Wednesday of each month in at the Meeting House at 7:30 a.m. It is open to all men of the church family. It is an informal affair - breakfast, an occasional program and good fellowship. Each month men sign up to be the "chef of the month". All men of the church family are welcome to attend.

Women's Association

In 1953, the Women's Association, as it is known today became the official women's group in the church. The primary function of the Women's Association is fellowship, study, stewardship and outreach to all. The women of the church have historically played an important part in the life of the church through mission to others and financial support. Their suppers, fairs and rummage sales played and important part in building the church. We currently do several fundraisers during the year. The association also gives monetary scholarships to graduating high school seniors. All women of the church are considered members. There is presently one circle within the association and that is the Alice Edwards Circle.

Alice Edwards Circle

The Alice Edwards Circle, named after a former First Presbyterian Church member, has been active for many years. Church ladies are encouraged to join us on the third Wednesday of each month, September through June. Meetings are held either at a member's home or the Meeting House. After a luncheon, hosted by members, and a short business meeting, we have a study program led by a member of the circle.

Frienship Dinners

Friendship dinners are coordinated four times a year with the purpose of reuniting with old friends, getting to know newcomers, and welcoming potential new members. Dinners are comprised of six to eight adults who dine together in a host's home on one evening during a three month period. Hosts take turns and guests dine with different people each quarter. If you have any questions, or would like to sign up to attend or host a dinner, please contact the church office.
