Program Overview

The Christian Education Committee supports a program year-round for all our children and youth including a school-year Sunday School program (2009-10 calendar), a summer Sunday School Program, a nursery and a youth group.

The Sunday School year is broken into 4 terms, fall, winter, spring and summer. During the fall, winter and spring terms our children attend worship for about 15 minutes so they are able to enjoy the Call to Worship, special music, observe the sacrament of Baptism and hear children’s stories. They are then released from worship to participate in an age-appropriate Sunday School class which is led by a volunteer. Class levels include:

• PreK-K
• 1-2
• 3-4
• 5-6
• 7-8
• and 9-12

Youth in grades 7-12 remain in worship the first Sunday of each month so they can fully take part in the worship service with the congregation. We also have an active Youth Group which includes youth in 8th-12th grade. A nursery is available to children 3 years old and younger.

All volunteers and staff working with our children and youth must have a successful background check which supports our efforts to create a safe environment.
