Do you hum in the shower and can you count to four?
Posted August 31st, 2010 by adminHey, do you hum in the shower and can you count to four? Then you are a candidate for one of our choirs. Listed below are the choirs and their rehearsal times. If you are interested please just come to rehearsal. We have choir for every age group!
SENIOR CHOIR: This choir meets on Thursdays at 7:30pm and sings every Sunday in church from September until June. Our first rehearsal of the season will be on Thursday the 16th of September.
THE SOUNDS OF CHIME CHOIR: This choir is for adults who would enjoy playing handbells and handchimes. They play in church about once every six weeks and have a lot of fun in rehearsal. The church has three octaves of handbells and three octaves of handchimes and we use both sets of instruments. This choir rehearses on Thursdays at 6:30pm and their first rehearsal of the season is also on Thursday the 16th of September.
JUBILATE CHOIR: This choir is open to all youth in grades 5-12. It consists of a singing and a ringing choir. Both choirs rehearse after church at 11am in the music room under the direction of Cathy Wheat. The choirs sing/ring in church about once every six week and also take their music and smiles to a neighboring nursing home at least once a year. The first rehearsal for this group will be on Sunday the 19th of September in the Music Room and there is pizza involved. Please feel free to join this group!
CHILDREN’S CHOIR: This choir is open to youth in grades k-4 and meets in the Wendell house on Sundays after church at 11am under the capable direction of Virginia LaRose. They sing in church several times a year. The first rehearsal for this group is Sunday the 19th of September at 11am and I believe that there is also pizza involved in their first rehearsal! Sounds like you hadn’t better miss this one.
