Open Your Heart Fundraiser For CazCares
Posted May 6th, 2009 by adminIn these times of economic uncertainty, the Cazenovia Presbyterian Church felt it was the perfect time for a fundraiser for one of our community’s best missions: CazCares.
On Saturday May 16th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm an evening of fun, food, music and fundraising will be happening in the Meeting House of the Presbyterian Church off Albany Street in Cazenovia. The Meeting House entrance is on Sullivan Street.
There is no admission charge (donations will be accepted), but bring your check book or wallet for some awesome silent auction items. To date we have cruises around Caz Lake and some crazy opportunities to wake board, water ski or tube; a cord of firewood delivered and stacked at your house; art by local artists (even a portrait of your family pet); a rocking horse; a special dessert delivered to your house once a month throughout the year; antiques; tennis lessons; art lessons; a sunfish sailboat, Hannah Montana autographed poster; an American Girl Doll; tour of a vintage car collection and even an airplane ride over Cazenovia. There is something to please everyone.
There are also some raffle items including overnight stays at the Brewster Inn, Lincklaen House and a Stickley Mission Clock.
Add some music, wine, great hors d’ourves and you have an evening of total enjoyment.
CazCares is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 Food Pantry & Clothing Closet. For 27 years, CazCares‘ mission has been to provide free food, clothing, emergency heating assistance and referral services to low income families in the Cazenovia School District and surrounding areas. Currently, CazCares feeds an average of 300 families per month, or approximately 900 people on a regular basis in our community.
See you at the Open Your Heart event at the Caz Presbyterian Church on Saturday May 16th. If you any questions, contact Kris Curtis at 655-5836 or kristinscurtis@gmail.com.
